Garmin BarkLimiter Deluxe – Rechargeable Bark Control Collar

The Garmin TriTronics BarkLimiter Deluxe is one of the most advanced bark control collars on the market. It features the most advanced accelerometer sensor which is able to tell the different sounds of dogs’ barking and other noises. This anti bark collar also has a very slim design (only 6.1cm x 3.5cm x 3 cm) which makes the collar suitable for all different sizes of dog. The Garmin BarkLimiter has 3 different operation modes: V – vibration, A – automatic, 1-7 – manually adjustable levels of output.

Accelerometer Technology bark sensor

An accelerometer is a device that measures the proper acceleration which is used to detect and monitor vibration. The bark sensor of Garmin Bark Limiter collar integrates the Accelerometer Technology which is able to tell the vibration is from the dog’s voice box or from the dog’s movement. When the sensor detects external noise or movement of the dog, the LED status light will flash very shortly and no static correction is given. If the sensor detects barking, the LED light will flash and follow with a static correction.

3 different operation modes

The Garmin BarkLimiter has 3 different operation modes which is suitable for different temperaments of dogs.

The automatic correction mode automatically increases levels when the dog barks. It is great for sensitive dogs and small dogs. The BarkLimiter always starts from the lowest level, if the dog does not stop barking after the first level of correction, the correction will increase to level two. Each successive bark will increase the correction level until the dog stops barking. Then the Garmin barking collar will reset back to the lowest level and the process starts all over again.

The manual adjustable operation mode is more for stubborn dogs and smart dogs. In the manual adjustable mode it means you find out the best level for the dog. Every time when the dog barks, the collar will go straight to the level you have set which means the dog will be only allowed to bark once or twice. 
The vibration stimulation is the alternative to static correction. It is great for small and sensitive dogs. The Garmin BarkLimiter will vibrate each time when the dog barks.

Bark Odometer 

The Garmin BarkLimiter has the same Bark Odometer feature from the previous TriTronic BarkLimiter bark control collar. It counts and displays the number of times the dog barks. This way you will know if the level that you have set for your dog is working for him while you are away. If you have no corrections or just a few, then your level is set high enough. If you have several corrections then you need to rethink the stimulation level that you are using. To activate the Odometer, set the dial to "N" which turns the unit off. The Odometer will then flash the number of corrections since the last time the unit was turned on.

Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery and battery strength indicator

The rechargeable BarkLimiter Deluxe has the ability to go three months between charges. This of course will vary depending on what stimulation settings you use, how much your dog barks while wearing the collar, and how many hours a day your dog wears the collar, keeping in mind that the dog should not have the collar on for more than 8 hours at the most. The Bark Limiter also has the convenience of a battery strength indicator which will let you know the condition of the battery e.g. when the battery is ‘good’ it will show as green and if it is red it means to recharge.
