Tracker Radio Dog Tracking Systems has revolutionized the portability and ease of use of Radio Frequency Direction Finding equipment. This technology is most commonly employed for locating animals (wildlife, pets, and hunting and Search and Rescue dogs), people (special needs, at-risk children) and assets. In 1992, Tracker created the first pocket-sized receiver employing patented antenna technology and the latest advances in micro-electronic design. Tracker has greatly simplified receiver operation allowing the operator to focus on locating the tracking collar rather than operating the receiver.

Advantages of the Tracker Classic
Transmitters: Tracker Classic radio dog tracking collars are supplied by Tracker suitable for the European hunting environment which differs greatly to that of Australian hunting conditions. For this reason DogMaster Trainers add heavy duty heat-shrink (see below) to the dog tracking collars to avoid any potential damage that may occur whilst hunting. This also ensures that the tracking collar is totally waterproof. Please keep in mind that moisture and electronics do not mix.

Compact Size: Patented technology allows for the design of antennas shorter than their electrical length. This permits the antennas to fold inward along the receiver creating a compact single unit comprised of a receiver and antenna. The receiver measures only 8 ¼” x 2” x 1 ½ (with antennas folded) and fits into a holster that can be worn on a belt.

Durable Construction: Both tracker receiver & transmitter are housed in a casing that is milled from a solid aluminum bar. In addition, the antenna elements of the receiver are virtually unbreakable. The durability of the tracking receiver permits a warantee of 10 years on the body and antenna and 3 years on the electronics.

Two channels: The Classic Receiver has two channels that are conveniently switched with a single button.

Near Mode: The Classic features an attenuator that simplifies dog tracking when the radio transmitter is close to the receiver (less than one mile). The attenuator is activated by pressing the NEAR button (red indicator light will illuminate). The NEAR mode makes it easier to set the gain level by reducing the sensitivity.

Frequency Fine adjustment: Transmitter frequencies sometimes drift based on temperature and atmospheric conditions. Tracker has incorporated a dial that adjusts the frequency to provide optimum range and audio characteristics.

Audible and LED-Signal Detection: Direction of strongest signal can be detected either audibly or using LEDs. A jack on the base of the tracker receiver allows the use of headphones.
