The SportDOG SBC6 stop barking collar  (also known as the Petsafe BC103 stop barking collar) is the easiest to use anti bark control collar ever invented. Just turn the battery to the on position and put it on your dog. Hear the quiet? With 6 levels of automatically set correction, the SportDOG SBC-6 stop barking collar will stop most dogs from barking and will also stop some persistent barking dogs. The built in vibration sensor ensures that only the dog wearing the bark control collar can activate it, no other barking dog.

How the SportDOG SBC6 (Petsafe BC103) stop barking collar works:

The SportDOG SBC6 bark control collar has 6 levels of automatic correction with a warning tone. When your dog is barking while wearing the barking collar, a vibration sensor detects the barking and emits a warning tone followed by the lowest level of static correction. If your dog does not stop barking after the first level of correction and starts barking again within 30 seconds, the barking collar will emit another warning tone followed by the second level of static correction. Each successive bark will increase the correction level if the bark is within 30 seconds of the previous bark in an attempt to stop persistent barking. If your dog stops barking for at least 30 seconds, the SportDOG SBC6 anti bark collar will reset back to the lowest level and the process starts all over again.

This anti bark collar also has a built in safety feature which will automatically shut off the anti bark collar for a period of 3 minutes if your dog barks 15 times or more in a 50 second period.

Key Definitions:

Contact Probes: The two metal probes that deliver the safe static correction.
Sensor Probe: The sensor probe detects the vibration from dog’s voice box. When the dog barks, the vibration from voice box triggers the sensor. This ensures that only the barking dog wearing the collar can activate it.
Please Note: the vibration sensor probe is not adjustable or removable.
Low battery indicator: The indicator light of the collar will begin flashing when the battery is low.

Battery:

The SportDog SBC6 Stop Barking Collar is operated by 1 Petsafe RFA67 lithium battery module. The average battery life is up to 3 months, depending on how often the dog barks. However, due to greater usage during the initial training period, the first battery may not last as long as subsequent replacement batteries.

The battery light indicator is off during normal operations. If the light begins flashing, it means it is the time to replace the battery.

Testing the SportDOG SBC6 bark control collar

Slide the vibration sensor probe across a rough surface for at least 25cm. You should able to hear a “beep” from the collar. If your receiver does not beep during this test:

• Make sure protective tape has been removed from the battery module.
• Check battery module for proper fit in receiver.

If your receiver beeps, but your dog does not heed correction

• Use test light to verify correction is being delivered.
• Tighten the collar.
• Trim your dog’s hair a little bit at the probe contact locations to make sure the contact probes are contacting your dog’s neck.

Question: Is the SBC6 bark control collar safe and humane?
Answer: Yes. The bark control collar is designed to get your dog’s attention, not to punish him.

Question: Can I leave the collar on my dog all the time?
Answer: No. Never leave the collar on your dog for more than 12 consecutive hours.

Question: I am concerned that once I use a bark control system my dog will stop barking altogether. Will this happen?
Answer: This is highly unlikely, especially if you follow the advice in the Training Section. Barking is a natural behavior and a needed outlet for a dog, so they are very good at learning what situations they are allowed to bark in.

Question: I would like my dog to learn not to bark only when the bark collar is on. Is this possible?
Answer: Yes, this is possible. This is best accomplished by placing the bark collar on your dog only in those situations in which you never want him to bark. Also, never place the bark collar on your dog in those situations in which you want him to bark.
